Laxmi is a self-taught art therapist and works with mentally challenged children in Vietnam. In India, she has chosen NIMHANS and Nightingales Dementia Care to conduct sessions in art therapy, which are proven to be effective in managing behaviours of concern in clients with dementia as well as additional tool for communication as the disease advances.

All those concerned and connected with the care of persons with dementia are encouraged to participate.

One Day Sensitization Programme for the Family Caregiver of Elderly with Dementia

ARDSI - Bangalore Chapter in association with ARDSI National Office and NISD is organizing a One Day Sensitization Programme for the Family Caregiver of Elderly with Dementia on March 15, 2010

The objectives of this program are:

To create awareness about dementia –its nature and its types
To educate on symptoms, early detection and early prevention
To enhance the capacity & skills of caregivers in managing elderly with Dementia.

Caregivers as well as Social workers and others interested to work in this field are welcome to register.
